Da Vinci Academy has an incredible team of students, staff, families and governors who expect the very best from our school. We want everyone to be proud to be a part of Da Vinci Academy and in turn our wider community to be proud of us. Schools are about people and not the bricks that they are made out of. It is our shared aspiration which make this such a special place for young people to learn and grow in character and strength.   

We have a strong and clear vision: ‘one team, changing worlds’. One team describes the way that we work together and ‘changing worlds’ is what our young people will do in their future lives for the people around them. We are proud of our traditional approach to learning, homework, uniform and behaviour standards. Through exceptional teaching, outstanding leadership and the highest quality pastoral care, our students feel safe, are supported and realise their potential. We are a medium sized academy with increasingly oversubscribed year groups and strong GCSE outcomes. We have created an ethos built on positive relationships and where staff know their students well. Open Day – Thursday 28 September

Our open day is taking place on Thursday 28 September from 5.00pm – 7.00pm and is the perfect opportunity to meet staff and students, see the facilities and experience what life is like at Da Vinci. Our student ambassadors will also be on hand to talk to you and show around the school.

How to Apply:

If your child is starting secondary school for the first time in September 2024 and you live in Derby, you should follow the steps on the Derby City Council website to apply online:

If you live outside of Derby and need a place here, you should still apply to your local council.

When to Apply:

You can make an application from 14^th September 2023 until 31^st October 2023.
