b-line Cards

How do I apply for a B_line Card? Year 7 and Year 11

What is a b_line card?

b_line is Derbyshire County Council’s cut-price travel discount and library card for young people aged 11 up to 19. It is for young people in school, college, on training courses or in an apprenticeship providing they live in Derbyshire.

b_line cards are free unless you need a replacement for a lost or damaged card. Replacement cards are £5.

There are two types of b_line card:

  • An orange b_line1 card for 11 year-olds (in secondary school) and up to their 16th birthday
  • A purple b_line2 card for 16 year-olds and up to their 19th birthday

b_line cards are no longer issued automatically. If your child would like a b_line card, you must apply for one via the new online application portal on the Derbyshire County Council website:

https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/transport-roads/public-transport/fares-tickets-passes/b-line/b-line.aspx

Before you start your application, please read the instructions at the top of the form to make sure you have everything you need to make your application. The card will be sent to your home address within 5 working days of application.

If you are unable to apply for your child’s b_line card online, please contact the Academy and we will be able to assist you.
